At St.Mary's Catholic primary school we are taking part in 'Eco schools 2025-2026'. Improving our pupil's understanding of how to work together towards a better future is paramount to our approach. We have a team of Year 6 pupils who are our 'eco monitors.' These children have a passion for sustainability and are leading our school in three whole school 'eco' days across this year to explore bioidiveristy, global citizenship and our local marine environment.

We enjoyed having pupils from our local secondary school back to visit us to help with our first day which focused on writing letters to Sir David Attenborough, planning a whole school pond and working out ways to ensure our common home is taken care of.
