We actively seek the involvement of the parents and families supporting the education of their children. It is recognised that it is particularly important with pupils who have special education needs where the support and encouragement of parents is often the crucial factor in achieving success. Inclusion at St Mary’s goes beyond SEND provision—it is built into our everyday practice. Our Whole-School Inclusion Strategy ensures that every aspect of school life, from curriculum design to extracurricular trips, is planned with equity and accessibility in mind. This will be published below by 01st January 2027.

Through Quality First Adaptive Teaching, sensory-aware classrooms, and proactive pastoral support, we aim to eliminate barriers before they impact learning. Whether a child needs temporary support, adaptive resources, or ongoing provision, our goal is the same: equal access, full participation, and a strong sense of belonging for every pupil.

We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about access to SEND provision for your child. You are invited to access a ‘drop-in’ session between 2:15pm – 3:15pm every Thursday afternoon. Mrs Dickinson will be happy to meet with you to answer any questions that you have about the SEN provision – please dojo her in advance to let her know you intend to come.
