After School Clubs

Clubs list 12.09.23

Dear Parents / carers,

Thank you for your patience while we put together the list of clubs and after school activities for this term. With the exception of chess club, clubs will start in the week beginning 18th September.

If your child would like to take part in one of these clubs, please sign up via Parent-Pay. In response to comments in the parent questionnaire, the list will ‘go live’ at 6pm on Wednesday 13th September, to be fair to anyone who might not be able to access the list during working hours. We will aim to confirm your place via Dojo on Friday 15th September.

There is an additional letter and permission form for running club - if your child gets a place, please ask them to collect a letter from me to be returned before the club starts. Many of the clubs have a maximum number and so please sign your child up for one club only, in the first instance. We will let you know if any places become available for pupils who want to attend more than one club.

In the past, demand for clubs has well exceeded availability, and so I would politely ask that if your pupil gets a space in a club, that they attend every week. Repeated absence would mean that we would make their space available to someone else.

If your child is not able to attend a session, for whatever reason, or no longer wishes to take part in that club, please let the office know.

It is clear from comments in the parent questionnaire that cancelling clubs at the last minute is a real source of frustration for families. I have shared this with staff and we will endeavour to improve in this area.

I apologise for issues caused by this in the past. That said, it may sometimes be necessary to cancel a club because of weather or staff absence, in these cases, we will give you as much notice as possible.

Please kindly collect your children on time at the end of the club, from the front of the school as normal.

If you have any questions, please just let me know.

Yours sincerely,

Mr T Moran
