St Marys Catholic Primary School
At St. Mary's we place the children at the heart of everything we do

Summer Term

As part of our topic of 'Rainforests' Class 2 visited the Eden Project. They took part in a Rainforest Rangers workshop and showed their understanding of what they needed to do to survive in the Rainforest. Whilst in the biome the children looked for plants that would provide food, water and shelter.
To follow on our work in RE on 'Laudato Si' Class 2 took part in a workshop led by Maggie Gee from CAFOD. They were able to explain ways that we can all take care of our world.
Class 2 have enjoyed learning the ukulele as a whole class. We have been working on our repertoire and can now play 6 chords and songs such as "Count on me", " Jamawala" and "Octopus's Garden".
