At St Mary's we pride ourselves for aiming high in everything we do. Attendance is very much part of this ambition. We aim for all pupils to be in school to ensure they flourish socially, academically and build their self-esteem and confidence.
National expectation for attendance is 96.5%. We aim to be in line or even above the national expectations. In line with 'Working together to improve school attendance' (DFE September 22) our focus in on supporting our parents in any way to ensure their child attends school everyday.
Just 10 days absent over a period of time can result in 2 weeks lost of school.
